Terms and Conditions of your exam booking

In order to progress with your exam booking today, there are some terms and conditions you need to agree to. Please read the following content carefully, we will email you a copy of the terms for your reference.

Checkboxes

Your APM exam will be facilitated by Surpass and you will receive two emails from them prior to your exam date. The first email will ask you to do a system check to ensure your PC is set up correctly for the exam, this will be sent approximately eight working days prior to your exam. It is important you do this system check as soon as possible to make sure everything is working and avoid any issues on the day of the exam.

We strongly recommend you use a personal PC/Laptop to sit your exam. We often find that when candidates attempt to use a laptop or device intended for work purposes, there is restricted access and admin rights installed, which cause issues when trying to access the ProctorExam platform.

Once your system check is complete, you will receive a second email with the link to your exam. This email should be received 48 hours prior to the exam as long as your system check has been completed.

Checkboxes

A reliable internet connection is essential to take your online exam, as it will be needed for mobile streaming. We recommend you use an ethernet cable to ensure a stable connection, or to position yourself as close to the router as possible. We also suggest switching off or disconnecting any other equipment that uses the same network. We recommend a minimum of 1.5Mbit/s upload, 10Mbit/s download, ping under 25 ms. We will send you a link to check your internet speed. Tethering to the internet via a mobile phone is not supported. Please remember that internet and bandwidth speeds can fluctuate.

Checkboxes

APM remote invigilated examinations are monitored by online invigilators, via an online invigilation service. This monitoring may be conducted by a live person (an invigilator referred to as a proctor) in real time, or recorded and reviewed later. Please read the document we’ll send you when you submit this form and watch the video to  see how the set-up works and to familiarise yourself with the exam scenario.

Checkboxes

There is now a cancellation and rescheduling fee of £110+VAT which has been introduced by APM. Any cancellations or requests to reschedule made five working days or less prior to you exam date or failure to attend the exam, there will be a cancellation charge of £110+VAT.

The cancellation charge will also apply where an exam cannot be sat due to technical issues outside the control of APM, Surpass nor Training ByteSize such as poor internet connection and access/admin rights or security settings on a work laptop/PC. Should you be unable to sit your exam for any of these reasons, neither Training ByteSize or APM accept responsibility for this and you will be liable to pay the £110+VAT cancellation fee.The cancellation fee will need to be paid prior to re-booking the exam.
